Development and history

Spinball—sold as Flipper Pinball in parts of Europe—was designed by Jeff Corsiglia and programmed by Mark Indictor. It translates a complete pinball table into the Vectrex’s portrait-oriented display.

The title is unusual among original Vectrex releases because it includes a pause function and supports table nudging with tilt risk. The European and North American versions use different packaging and names but share the same underlying game.

This page uses one stable canonical URL for the title and loads its embedded ROM directly into the emulator after the Vectrex BIOS is ready.

Gameplay and background

Launch the ball, operate separate left and right flipper sets, and nudge the table with the joystick. Repeated nudging triggers tilt, so use it sparingly to save a ball or change an unfavorable bounce.

How to play in Vectrexia

  • Move with the Arrow keys or WASD. Compatible controllers can use the left analog stick or D-pad.
  • Vectrex buttons 1–4 map to Z, X, C, and V, and to the standard face buttons on most gamepads.
  • Press a controller button after connecting it so the browser can expose the gamepad to the page.

Audio may begin after the first click, key press, or controller input because browsers can restrict autoplay.
