Development and history
Vecmania was released by John Dondzila in 1999 as a large bank-switched compilation. Sources describe seven main games, a hidden title, and unfinished demos inspired by a wide range of vector and raster arcade classics.
Vectrexia exposes the preserved image as Part 1 and Part 2 entries because of the source ROM set. Both belong to the same broader Vecmania project, which demonstrated how much content a modern 64 KB cartridge could hold.
This page groups 2 ROM editions under one stable URL instead of creating duplicate search pages for alternate dumps or revisions. The primary edition loads automatically; the other editions remain available in the in-app library.
Gameplay and background
Use the cartridge menu to select among multiple games. Each included title has its own movement and button behavior, ranging from shooters and arena games to paddle or puzzle play.
How to play in Vectrexia
- Move with the Arrow keys or WASD. Compatible controllers can use the left analog stick or D-pad.
- Vectrex buttons 1–4 map to Z, X, C, and V, and to the standard face buttons on most gamepads.
- Press a controller button after connecting it so the browser can expose the gamepad to the page.
Audio may begin after the first click, key press, or controller input because browsers can restrict autoplay.
