Development and history
Vectrexia’s catalog credits Vectrex Maze to Chris Salomon in 1998. Salomon is also associated with V-Frogger, VPong, and several development experiments preserved in Vectrex collections.
The title belongs to the smaller freeware and public-domain side of the homebrew scene. Its straightforward name and compact presentation are typical of programs shared as binaries rather than packaged retail cartridges.
This page uses one stable canonical URL for the title and loads its embedded ROM directly into the emulator after the Vectrex BIOS is ready.
Gameplay and background
Navigate the maze with directional input, learn the structure, and respond to any moving hazards or goals presented by the build. The program uses the vector display’s clean line geometry to keep paths readable.
How to play in Vectrexia
- Move with the Arrow keys or WASD. Compatible controllers can use the left analog stick or D-pad.
- Vectrex buttons 1–4 map to Z, X, C, and V, and to the standard face buttons on most gamepads.
- Press a controller button after connecting it so the browser can expose the gamepad to the page.
Audio may begin after the first click, key press, or controller input because browsers can restrict autoplay.
