Development and history
Star Fire Spirits was released by John Dondzila in 1999 and is listed in VGDB as a modern Vectrex title. Dondzila also preserved early Star Fire development experiments in later compilation material.
The game adapts the forward-view targeting language of late-1970s vector and pseudo-3D arcade machines to the Vectrex’s portrait display, continuing the system’s tradition of cockpit-style space combat.

How to play in Vectrexia
- Move with the Arrow keys or WASD. Compatible controllers can use the left analog stick or D-pad.
